Peng Li was born in Hunan, China and is a visual artist working between Munich and Berlin. He studied at the South China University of Technology and has his Master of Fine Arts before going to the Akademie der Bildenden Künste München for his Diploma in Fine Arts, Painting and Graphics by professor Gregor Hildebrandt

His practice delves into the politics of identity, historical narratives, and the experience of the body in the digital age. Through a profound interest in materiality and process, his work interweaves personal memory, collective history, and contemporary trauma, often exploring the complex nuances of being an outsider in Germany.
